What is the purpose of memory testing?

Keeping a record of your memory performance is a way to track changes in general brain health.

Are the tests the same every time?

No! Each test provides a unique user experience every time. This is particularly noticable with test No. 2, our most popular memory test. Try it.

How much does it cost?

We offer two plans. With the monthly plan you will be automatically billed $3.00 per month. Or you may want to try the 10 Session Plan for a one time fee of $9.95. Both plans provide full access to the tests and to new tests as they are introduced. For details please see our Billing Policy.

Is there a medical purpose for testing?

A record of memory performance is very important. A major medical event can affect your brain but it may be difficult to measure those changes if there is no record of your normal level of performance. A good record such as the one we provide can be an invaluable tool.

Why do you ask for age, etc.?

Information about age, education, etc. will help us establish better norms for the tests. This information is not required, but it will help us make a better site for you.

What about Alzheimer's Disease?

Alzheimer's Disease affects the brain in a variety of ways, but, typically, it first appears as mild memory impairment. While Alzheimer's remains incureable, it can be treated, if it is caught early. Developing a history of your normal performance is a way to check for unusual changes that could indicate a more serious condition, such as Alzheimer's Disease, but our tests are not a substitute for a medical diagnosis. Please see your doctor if you notice unusual changes in your memory performance.

How long will you keep my records?

We will keep your records for as long as you like. You can even elect to have us store your records for you if you stop being a member. Of course, we will erase your records any time you ask us to do so. Tracking brain performance is a long term process and we are committed to providing long term service to our customers.

What about security?

Your records are kept on a secure server. We are using the highest level of site security to protect these records. Please see our Privacy Policy for details.

What about privacy?

Your records are kept completely private. We do not allow any use of our customer records, email addresses, etc. for any purpose. Please see our Privacy Policy for details.

What's with the birds?

Migratory birds are able to navigate incredible distances using memory as a guide. They are a reminder of the extraordinary power and importance of memory.
